Matter: Energy Bound was a group exhibition curated by Feng Boyi, one of China's most influential contemporary art curators, held at the Taoxichuan Art Gallery in Jingdezhen from October 2025 to March 2026. The exhibition brought together artists and designers whose work engages with the five classical elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.
Kranen/Gille's Night on Earth, part of the Elements collection for Monasch, was selected for the exhibition. The piece explores the dialogue between human craft and machine precision, created in collaboration with an 80-year-old mechanical tufting machine. A meditation on patience, rhythm, and the quiet personality of materials.
