Terra Ducit
Everything begins with soil.
Worked and shaped by human hands, earth becomes landscape, a place where the grand scale of nature and the precision of the smallest detail exist in constant tension. Terra Ducit holds both at once.
Raw earth forms the carrier for a conductive layer of copper that winds its way systematically through the terrain, connecting points of light like cities seen from above. The further you step back, the more the landscape reveals itself. The closer you look, the more deliberate every line becomes.
A 10 by 2 metre installation was commissioned by Keramiekmuseum Princessehof for their exhibition Design#2, whilst a smaller solution adorned a private residence in The Hague
