MECK lamp

Various clients

It started with a collection of antique preservation jars.

Something about them demanded a response. The crude honesty of industrial production, the marks and traces left behind by a process that never thought to hide itself. We let that tension lead and combined it with our own design language, rooted in the same industrial heritage, to create a lamp that feels like it was always there.

A no-nonsense on/off switch. Nothing more than it needs to be.

MECK went on to find its way into the permanent collection of the Zuiderzeemuseum in Enkhuizen and a commercial release across the US and Canada with West Elm. Some objects have a life of their own. This is one of them.
