Keramiekmuseum Princessehof

2017

Cultivated soil, where everything starts. Through processing, earth becomes a landscape, with a great contrast between man and nature.

While cultivating the earth we zoom out further and further while adjusting it to the smallest detail. With this in mind, rough earth is used as a carrier for a conductive layer of copper that systematically winds its way through the landscape, connecting cities of light with each other.

Keramiekmuseum Princessehof comisioned this 10  by 2 meter installation for their exhibition Design#2 in 2017. Terra Ducit was created in collaboration with Cor Unum and Ledlabel.
