For the patient intake rooms at the Jeroen Bosch Hospital in our hometown of ‘s-Hertogenbosch we devised this periscope, which lets us look into a parallel world filled with light and nature.

When in the room, just look up into the industrial ceiling and escape. We conceived this installation partly because these intake rooms don’t have any windows, but mainly because we want t give the patient the feeling of a way out. A way out of a complicated conversation, a way out of the small room and the probably tight situation you are in being an aspiring patient in a hospital. Commissioned by the JBZ art committee.
